The TRX Suspension Trainer has brought a new element to my game as it engages important core muscles groups that other forms of training can't recruit and this allows me to compete at a very high intensity for 80 minutes. The TRX is an imortant training aid for all sports participants and it should never be overlooked.

As a strength and conditioning coach working in many sports but presently in professional boxing (presently in training camp with Willie ‘Big Bang’ Casey EBU Super Bantom Weight Champion). I have used a lot of strength training equipment over the years training amateur and professional athletes from many disciplines in sport at all levels, national to international. But have found very few pieces of equipment which are so dynamic, and effective in targeting functional core strength as the TRX suspension Trainer.

The TRX suspension Trainer is easily stored in a small bag, compact, easy to carry, durable and can be readily fixed to a cross bar/goal post, door or ceiling. It’s ideal to throw into the boot of my car and use in the field or gym time and time again. Whether I’m fitness testing an athlete, a team or demonstrating functional core exercises to a group. It is easy to use and I have never come across a piece of equipment so small and dynamic that covers so much in terms of multi-joint functional core exercises.

I would highly recommend the TRX Suspension Trainer to any strength and conditioning coach, or athlete. As I find the TRX a priceless tool in strength training the core through multi-joint, or isolation exercises from prone, supine, side lying or rotating.It’s definitely a must……

As a former international athlete and a qualified coach, I have always recognised the benefit of core training. TRX provides a simple and efficient way of doing this.TRX strengthens muscles and joints as a group and helps correct muscle imbalances, which is an essential part of an athlete’s progression.Also, as it is your own bodyweight working against gravity it reduces the chances of getting injured.What I really like about TRX is its versatility and the elimination of reliance on a gym.

As a team sport athlete I recognise the crucial role resistance training can play as part of my training programme. The TRX Suspension Trainer provides a breath of fresh air to conventional training. Given the demands of rugby, key factors such as strength, power and speed must all be targeted in training to ensure optimal performance on the pitch. The verstility of the TRX Suspension Trainer means it can be adapted to the individual needs of any athlete to maximise any component of performance in a fast, efficient, enjoyable way. With so much emphasis now placed on essential core strength both in terms of injury prevention and performance enhancement, I found the capabilities for core training on the TRX particularly innovative.
